The County Fair Completed

So I finally finished pictures from the county fair, next project will be our adventure to the beach. I'm doing so good because I haven't bought anything new and I've used all old paper. I'm so proud of myself. Here are the rest of my Lo's and I can't wait to make some more. I'm really having fun doing these 12x12's even though they are simple in that they are not super embellished they are perfect for my books. I leave all the embellishments for non eventful things. When working with less pictures I tend to put more, but working with more pictures I'll put less. Thanks for looking.

And Sunday was a BEAUTIFUL day, a little chilly but perfect for pumpkin picking. We never made it to the festival, but we had fun at the pumpkin patch. They had an awesome amount of pumpkins to pick from, and different colors too. Here are a couple of pictures, we'll probably be carving them tomorrow though because I didn't have time today. Much fun to be had, but wow are we cutting it close to Halloween or what haha. Love it!!

See the variety, we found a bunch of funky gourds, me and my mom were having fun with them lol. Isabella went into the little kid maze. It was so cute because she kept going into the dead ends. But she just kept on trucking, it was adorable!

Rainy Days

Well, today we pretty much got rained out ... no pumpkin picking today! It was non stop pouring until about fourish and the patch closed at five, but you just know they had to be closed because of all the rain. Tomorrow there is hope though. We are going to wake up early hit the patch around 10ish, then off to the halloween festival at the Van Winkle house. Should be fun and hopefully everything will be dry tomorrow. But I did get something done today. Lots and lots of baking. I made chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, and two different kinds of cupcakes (which I have yet to have tasted anything how bad is that). After I made then I was like I hope someone eats them hehe. Me and Kirk had fun decorating the cookies and cupcakes, we are super amateurs so it's totally silly funny ridiculous and childish decorations (his are worse then mines I promise you lol). But either way we had fun making them. Here are pictures of the decorated ones we made.

Tomorrow will definitely consist of many pumpkin pictures (cross fingers)! Especially hope for me that the skies will be blue so the pictures will be beautiful. Speaking of blue skies ...

I don't know if anyone has seen Pushing Daises (new tv show about a guy who can touch a dead person and bring them back to life, but must touch them again within a minute or someone else will die, and once he touches that person if he touches them again he will die that rule is for his childhood sweatheart that he bought back from the dead), the color in that show is so amazing I love how bright everything is.

I just finished watching this really cute Japanese movie, which the Japanese always make such great interesting and very unamerican type movies. I thought it was the cutest thing also having great color and dreamlike sequences. I loved the main character and thought she was absolutely adorable, here's a screen shot of the movie.

Tomorrow I will hopefully be watching Elizabeth and Thr3e so I can return them and get some new movies. I love Netflix!

Farm Animals

Here are two more LO's of our adventure at the county fair, tomorrow I should be doing the circus pictures and anything else we did at the fair. I am having fun doing lo's again and I love it. Maybe one day I'll actually go ahead and buy those d-ring binders to organize the tons of Lo's i have lying in the file drawer of my scrap storage. But until then I will continue storing things in that file drawer hehe. Thanks for looking.

Merry Go Round

I finally got around to doing a layout for myself, it's actually the first of many that documents our time at the county fair. It was our first time there, Middlesex county fair. We had such a great time there hanging out and experiencing everything for the first time as a family. Even the circus was exciting. This was the first time that Isabella went on a Merry Go Round, she loved it the first time, the second wasn't so successful. I guess once was enough for her.

Look forward to a couple more layouts within the next couple of days. I might even attempt a couple more of the challenges that are out there. Thanks for looking!

I Love October!!!

I love the month of October, there is always soooo many things to do. And you always learn new things that you can do later on in the year. So far we've gone apple picking and a corn maze, this past weekend we went to another corn maze, hay ride, pumpkin picking, build your own scarecrow, and even did a sack race. Too much fun I love OCTOBER!!!! I just sent out for a lot of pictures too so expect some October LO's finally! He he. Here are a couple of pictures from our fabulous weekend and next weekend will be even better.

Next weekend we're going pumpkin picking again, because I was really disappointed with the way the farm did their pumpkins (it's almost as if they just picked it themselves and laid them around sporadically, I want to pick it off the vine myself lol), and we'll also be going to a Halloween festival at the Van Winkle House (supposed haunted house by the canal). It's cute because it's totally for kids, they get to paint pumpkins, play games for silly little kid prizes and I might even do the tour of the house or something, not sure yet depends if they upped the price yet again. I'm telling you everyone is out to make a quick buck here and t here. Oh well that's life right!

Apple Picking Galore

Here are a couple pictures from our apple picking experience. We all had so much fun and had so many apples. It was great though because it was definitely an experience we would all remember. And i definitely can't wait to do it again next year. We have so many apples that I will definitely have to make some caramel and candy apples sometime this week. You'll see below pictures of us and apples, and some tiny tiny pumpkin and then some decent medium sized ones too. We picked red delicious, granny smith, golden delicious and I forget what the other kind was. But they were all very tasty. Enjoy the pictures.

One Word - Gone

Here is my entry for the One word challenge. I stumbled upon this blog not too long ago and was so happy to see something that can give you such variety. Others might be about sketches and following a certain patter, but having one word that could mean sooo many things to different people is so exciting because no two lo's will ever be the same. So here's my entry:

I was trying something different with this LO, hopefully it will be a successful one. I've never used the heide swapp clock so I figured I'd finally give it a try.

Loving Lola

I really wish I had a scanner lol. I love how these LO's turned out. I used Love Elsie's Lola line. It's so colorful and vibrant, I'm really starting to enjoy working with these lines so much. Here are three Lo's of my daughter from the January picture a day (she's grown so much in such a short time).

Tagged yet again (Fours)

Here are the Fours.....

Job's I've Had:
1. My first job was licking envelopes for the municipal court. I think it was some kind of bill I was sending out. It was just like a three day job or whatever but yeah not the best.
2. I then worked at Drug Fair, it's like a pharmacy type place (think Eckerd, Walgreens, CVS etc.) It was a fun job because I worked with some of my best friends, and I even got to work in the photo department. Some people send the freakiest pictures to get printed out hehe.
3. I worked at Lucent Technologies for a summer. I did absolutely nothing but play on the internet and get paid to do it.
4. I worked at Sterns, befor it became Macy's. That was fun. Although the standing up all day isn't so great you just have to keep busy. I worked in the lingere department and let me just say how disgusting it was when people would return underwear, that is still something I would never do.

Couple more pictures

Here's a quick view of California Coast, it was taken while driving on the highway. I wish I could have touched the sand, and I probably would have if I wasn't about to get on a plane in a couple hours. This is the infamous BTC, inside joke for the whores ... she was on the Loser's table this time.
With no cell reception those of us who were absolutely desperate to talk to their nikipoo would try anything to get the slightest bit of reception even making a tin foil hat, Sandy your nuts!
I think every time we were in the car someone would mention taking a picture of the mailboxes, sure enough on our way out I just had to get a picture. I wish I could have stopped and taken a better one but we were following someone. And I wasn't the one driving hehe.
This is a picture of the lake from the dam we were crossing. I loved the different segments in the rock, it really showed you how low that lake was. It was really pretty again I wouldn't have minded getting on their and taking better pictures, but we didn't have time.

Lo's from the Retreat

Here are the Lo's I made at the retreat ...
This is a LO from the weekend before the retreat when we went to the beach. It was her first time there, and our first time there this summer (well technically it was the beginning of fall but you get the idea). Kirk is always good with keeping up with her and chasing her around and having fun, I love taking pictures of the two of them together.

This is one of the pictures that I took in January for a picture a day challenge I was doing, and yes I still have tons from that month that I haven't scrapped yet. But I thought this paper looked really good with this picture so I decided to scrap it finally.

This is another picture of her in her carseat. One of her many uncles gave her this bunny. This is by far one of my favorite lines of paper, it's just too cute and I love browns and the yellows together. Very fall like colors.

Here is the last LO I did, again using the same line of paper as before and extremely simple. The pictures is what I love the most. Her running along the beach trying to chase the birds. I love being able to have moments like this captured in photos.

This double LO was for another circle journal (believe me we probably won't get the originals back till the beginning of next year if we're lucky, too many slackers). The title of the book was to put something you didn't like about the person you love. I put the fact that Kirk sleeps in and I never get to, it's just not fair.

That's all I did at the retreat (well I binded a couple of mini books together but I never physically did any altering to it just binded the pieces together. I had so much fun and got so much done that I can't wait for the next retreat.
