Mini Books Galore

I had to make them in slideshows because there were too many pictures and I didn't want to make such a long blog so here we go.

The first one I made was for my cousin and her kids, it's called Back to School. It uses the junkitz back to school line, which I know Isabella isn't in school yet but it was too cute not to use it somewhere.



The second Mini book I made using Imagination Projects line Fashionista. I loved the colors and he sayings the little tags had. I don't really do many girls night out kind of things but really wanted to use this line and thought that Isabella hanging out in front of her grandmothers house were super cute for this line. I made the board book from directions from Craft Tv Weekly Webisodes. I love checking out the shows on Fridays they have so many great ideas that I never would have thought of.



This next mini book I made for a friend. I found these cute costume glasses at Target's Dollar Bin and used it to do a mini photo shoot. My first mini photo shoot of course. It was fun because these girls love taking pictures of themselves. For this I used the Girl Scouts line, which I love because the colors are just too cute for my taste.



The next mini book I did is called Winter Wonderland. Snow should be coming in the near future and I wanted to make sure that I had something that I could put Isabella's pictures in when she really experiences snow. (it's not her first time but last year she was way too young to even play in it, this year she can help make the snow man) I actually used a kit that was given to me last year for a winter kit (thanks Raquel). I was also able to use the Bind it all (thanks MJ)



You know I just had to make a book about me and my hubby hehe. I picked this kit up at Michales, it's the Creative Imagination Heart book and kit. These pictures were also taken from the sunglasses photo shoot I did. This is by far one of my favorite mini books that I've made.



And last but definetly not least in the mini book category. I bought this cute chipboard house board book and Love Else's Jack and Abby Line. I have been waiting so long to finally get into this line and I had so much fun with it. It's by far my favorite mini book that I've done in a very long time. I think it's mainly because of the paper and it's an idea that I've wanted to do for a very long time. i love this book and can't wait to fill it with pictures.

Retreat 2007

So I'm back and exhausted as ever. It's no fun being on a plane forever then having to go straight to work after a very long weekend of scrapbooking and laughing so hard my cheeks hurt. I actually managed to get a lot done (I'm not one of the chatty ones in the group, I just listen and get a lot done haha) I finished 6 mini books and four 12x12 LO's. I'll be posting those a little later today. I'm actually really excited about some of the books I made, others I'm ok with them. I started another but had to stop because I just couldn't finish it, it wasn't coming to me. I think we all had a lot of fun and will definitely have a lot of memories to scrap. Here are a few pictures I stole from the other girls because I haven't had a chance to upload pics yet.

Here's all nine of us at Lolo's a Mexican restaurant in town (you must realize that town is at least an hour away from where we were staying, so it was quite a trip but great scenery).

This was our last day, we figured we would try to get a couple pics together before we left.

There is no better way to scrapbook then with a corona in your hand, just be careful not to take too long to drink it or someone will be sure to ask if you need a nipple for that drink.

Here's me making brownies! They were slightly overcooked so they came out cake-like but it was okay still. My cupcakes were much better, too bad no one took pictures of those, oh well. I'm sure I'll be making more soon for Halloween.

This is me at Michael's, notice how empty my basket is, I was very disappointed with their selection. But what can you do when everything is "hecka" far away but just try and find something you could use. I spent less than 20 so I didn't find that much.

I'll post more pictures that I took later along with my Lo's so you can look forward to that tonight. Oh and if you can believe it, it was actually colder there than it was in Jersey, go figure!!

Scrapbook Retreat

It's here, it's time, let's SCRAP!!! I know that we will have fun laughing, eating, scrapping, and taking massive amounts of pictures of everyone and everything. And I can't wait. Tomorrow at the butt crack of dawn I will be on a plane to the ever lovely state of California to hang out with my "Whores" and I can't wait. I still can't believe it's finally arrived. I'm hoping to get many many many many projects done. Cross fingers.

It's not the best picture, but here's a picture from last year when we all went to the Costa Mesa Scrapbook expo. I think we all definitely had a lot of fun, especially when we all met BTC! This year will surely bring new sayings (two thumbs up) and new friends (BTC) that we will remember until the next time we meet. Can't wait, see you whores there!

Hello October!!!

So it's October, which means it's time for Pumpkins, Apples, Costumes, HALLOWEEN and fun fun fun! I love the month of October, This month will definetly be a busy one. This weekend I'm off to California for a scrapbook retreat, which should be FUN! Weekend after that will either be pumpking picking or apple picking (that's the following two weekends), then of course there's getting ready for Halloween and then yes, a HALLOWEEN PARTY!!! I can't wait because Isabella is older now and hopefully won't be too scared. Last year she didn't want anyone but me and my mother because we were the only ones who had costumes that looked like us. We figured we'd finally hit the shore this weekend though before it gets really cold. It was worth it and we had sooo much fun. Here are a couple of pictures.

I had also bought these funky costume glasses at Target in the dollar bin and couldn't wait to get some people together to take some cute pictures. Sure enough I had a couple friends who wanted to play along, so here are a couple pictures from that experience:

That was my fun filled weekend, with many more to come, oh how I love the FALL season!!!

Scrapdragons

I found this blog Scrapdragons when going through other scrap blogs and thought I would give their challenge a try. So here is my entry for their fourth challenge

I always love new sketches and of course a new challenge. I really rather like the way this layout turned out. I was inspired when I was bored at work to scrap this challenge today. I was originally going to use a different picture, but I've seemed to have lost it, which really irritates me because I loved that picture. It would definitely have turned out entirely different though. Enjoy, and thanks for checking out my blog!

Unbelievable

I never thought that I would see the day that this would happen. I mean I've seen pictures and I've heard stories but I've never experienced it before. My daughter refused to sleep ALL day, she just kept running around and living life. Well sure enough around 6 after she had her dinner I stepped away for a couple of minutes (my mother was in the room), my mom calls out for me to bring the camera of course I get it and bring it and confused, say what happened. I look at Isabella and sure enough she is completely knocked out! She just finished her last piece of hot dog and fell dead asleep in her chair! It was a beautiful sight. She was sooo exhausted, of course she only napped for like half an hour because then the phone started ringing and that killed it, but it was very peaceful for that half hour.

Grab Bag

Mine by far is no where near the best grab bag, but it was last minute and I promise the product inside is super cute, unfortunatley I can't share it with anyone because then the people in the grab bag might see it and well then it wouldn't be a grab bag hehe. I actually had fun making this, I've never decorated a gift bag before so it was interesting and fun to try and make it look pretty. I doubt anyone will guess what's inside but that's the fun part!
